Meet Heath
Heath Nails serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices J Douglas Properties in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he leads operations, agent development, and strategic growth for one of the region’s top-performing real estate teams. With a disciplined, results-driven approach, Heath is responsible for building scalable systems, driving agent performance, and ensuring the organization operates with clarity, accountability, and consistency at a high level. Heath began his real estate career in sales, where he built a strong foundation in client service, execution, and production. During his time on the team, he emerged as one of the top-performing mentees, demonstrating a commitment to process, consistency, and results. That performance, combined with his operational mindset, led to his transition into leadership, where he now focuses on developing agents and strengthening the systems that support their success.
Prior to real estate, Heath spent 15 years as a music educator and program leader in Alabama, including a significant tenure at the University of Alabama. As Director of Band Operations and conductor of the Alabama Concert Band, he led large ensembles while also serving as an educator responsible for developing student musicians at a high level. In addition to his work on the podium, he oversaw complex, large-scale operations, managing budgets, logistics, personnel, and national travel for championship events. His ability to lead, teach, and execute within a high-performance environment became a defining strength. Today, Heath brings that same standard into real estate in helping to develop agents into top producers, implementing systems that scale, and leading with a clear expectation of performance and growth. Whether working with agents, clients, or partners, his approach is grounded in intentionality, execution, and long-term results. Outside of work, Heath is committed to growing as a husband, father, and leader, striving to live with purpose and be intentional in how he invests his time, energy, and resources.
